总结:Doctrines of reincarnation are traditionally based on body/soul dualism and maintain that it is only the immaterial soul of the person which passes through cycles of life and death, resulting in what is in this article described as post-mortem non-physicalist immortality. The ancient Pythagorean metempsychosis and psyche - habitually translated as "soul" - are usually understood along the same lines. This article, however, argues that they are different; that psyche is material which thereby renders this ancient Greek understanding of human post-mortem immortality and metempsychosis as its expression in physicalist terms.
