| Summary: | This paper deals with the Dogmatic Constitution Dei Verbum concerning the changes in the Catholic Church forty years after the end of the second Vatican Council. The author shows the context, the elaboration and the discussion related to Revelation, Tradition and Scripture and the importance of the holy Bible in the divine cult. The author presents also the exegetic methods in order to interpret the Bible and specially the evolution of the study and use of the Bible in Brazil. O presente artigo lembra a importância da Constituição Dogmática Dei Verbum para mudanças profundas na vida da Igreja católica, depois de 40 anos do Concílio Vaticano II. O autor apresenta o contexto, elaboração e discussão quanto à relação entre Revelação, Tradição e Escritura, o lugar e uso da Bíblia nas celebrações, os métodos exegéticos para interpretá-la, de modo especial, a evolução do estudo e uso da Bíblia no Brasil. |
