| Summary: | Na Idade Média decadente, a teologia católica realizou-se no contexto de uma Igreja que passou pelo “cativeiro babilônico” e pelo “cisma do Ocidente”, que enfraqueceu a autoridade dos papas não só sobre o poder temporal de imperadores e reis, mas também fixou-se na doutrina dos grandes expoentes da Escolástica, desconsiderando a contribuição inovadora de filósofos e teólogos não escolásticos e dos grandes místicos. A teologia desvinculou-se, por um lado, das fontes bíblicas e, por outro, da vivência da fé. Dessa maneira, abriu-se espaço para a Reforma que dividiu o cristianismo do Ocidente e criou um abismo que separa a doutrina católica oficial do desenvolvimento científico-cultural desde o Renascimento até o Concílio Vaticano II. In the low Middle Age the catholic theology happens in the context of a Church which passed a “babilonic captivity” and the occidental chismatic division of catholicism that not only weaked the authority of popes ower the temporal power of emperors and kings, but also fixed the official doctrine in scholasticism, without considering the contribution of non scholastic thinkers, theologians and mystics. The theology lost their biblical fountain and their ground in the experience of faith. In this way was given place for the Reform which divided the occidental Christianism and created a distance between the official catholic doctrine and the scientific and cultural development from the Renaissance until de second Vatican Council. |
