Hovedparten af artiklen leverer en fremstilling og fortolkning af Jørgensens overordnede projekt: først at udvikle den ansats til filosofisk æstetik, som kan spores tilbage til Baumgarten, til en moderne »erfaringsmetafysik«; dernæst at demonstrere den filosofiske æstetiks relevans for religionsfilosofien, nemlig at sætte teologien i stand til at tolke nutidige erfaringer af »immanent« transcendens. Artiklen afsluttes med en kort teologisk vurdering af dette vægtige bidrag til skandinavisk religionsfilosofi. The article discusses a recent postdoctoral thesis in Theology by Danish philosopher Dorthe Jørgensen. The major part of the article is devoted to outlining and interpreting Jørgensen’s overall project which is twofold: One, to develop aesthetics (as first presented as a philosophical discipline by Baumgarten) into a contemporary philosophy and metaphysics of experience. Two, to demonstrate how this new philosophy may aid theology in becoming better adjusted to individual experience of transcendence. The article concludes with a brief theological evaluation of the significance of this major contribution to the philosophy of religion. |
