AB Some contemporary philosophers argue that the apparent hiddenness of God relative to humans provides a case for thinking God does not exist. This essay is a critical examination of Alexander Campbell's twofold response to the atheological argument from divine hiddenness. Because his twofold strategy may appear to involve a problematic combination of responses, this essay explains how Campbell's interpreters might address such a concern.
