Today, one adds the necessity of a “gender perspective”. A “new evangelization" incorporates Human Rights as an integral part or even exigency of the evangelizing mission of the Church. Today this leads us to the questioning of the present structure of prevailing inequality. Corning up to the new millennium, the theme of Human Rights ressurges, giving out into ‘civil rights', 'social rights', and ‘economic rights’. | ||
| 520 | |a Este texto descreve o despertar progressivo da Igreja no Brasil, sobretudo a Católica, em favor da ampliação ou expansão do conceito e das práticas inerentes aos Direitos Humanos. Da afirmação dos direitos individuais, ela passa progressivamente para a defesa dos direitos dos empobrecidos até concentrar-se em torno da noção de “construção da cidadania”. Hoje, acrescenta-se a necessidade de uma “perspectiva de gênero". Uma “nova evangelização" incorpora os Direitos Humanos como parte integrante ou mesmo exigência da missão evangelizadora da Igreja. Isto nos leva hoje a questionar a atual arquitetura da desigualdade reinante. Rumo ao novo milênio, o tema dos Direitos Humanos ressurge, sendo desdobrado em ‘direitos civis', ‘direitos sociais’ e ‘direitos econômicos'. | ||
