Description
Résumé:S. Ignatius was a great letter-writer. The study of the vocabulary of his correspondence affords an opportunity to observe him grappling with various milieux. His conversion and the complex route thereto are recognisable in his attitude to the social reality of the XVIth century. The Author analyses selected features of this specific social perception - which is in fact at work in every individual. The founder of the Society of Jesus deliberately welcomed the potential granted men of any given period, above all in its early stages, as the means to reduce this potential to the end determined by God.
