(BHL 4143) par le moine de Werden Uffing. L'œuvre de Cincinnius est en effet significative sur le plan historique: elle met en lumière des conceptions sur le culte des saints qui sont caractéristiques de l'humanisme et du monachisme réformé que l'on observe en Allemagne avant la Réforme protestante. Ces conceptions amenèrent Cincinnius à faire de Ida une sainte pour la Westphalie, tout en promouvant un programme humaniste plus large visant à exalter d'une manière patriotique des figures issues du passé de la Germanie. L'édition de la Vie est fondée sur les deux manuscrits conservés (Herzfeld et Münster). | ||
