Descrição
Resumo:In 1999, Graham Ward published ‘Theology and Masculinity’ which remains one of the most concise and comprehensive introductions to the theological study of masculinities. However, 25 years since publication, and in the year of Ward’s retirement, there is a need for an update on the developments that have defined this continually emerging research. As masculinities and theologies continue to grow in plurality and complexity, this article explores the significance of Ward’s introduction as well as areas that need further critical attention. Ultimately, this article shows that any theology of liberation and justice must engage constructively with masculinities.
