Sumario:Information about topics discussed at the 2008 Cistercian Studies conference held from May 11-18 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, as part of the forty-third annual international congress on Medieval Studies, is presented. The fist session of the conference was focused on the works of twelfth-century English Cistercian abbot Gilbert of Hoyland. A session on two different perspectives on the relationships between Count Theobald IV of Blois, Louis VII of France and Bernard of Clairvaux was also presented.
