No presente ensaio, em primeiro lugar, apresentaremos sumariamente as informações históricas e literárias do Testamento de Jó que são pouco conhecidas; em seguida, traremos em destaque e discutiremos as passagens que apresentam Satanás para compreender como a obra o concebe; por fim, destacaremos as características da teoria do monstro de Cohen para propor um retrato monstruoso de Satanás no Testamento de Jó. | ||
| 520 | |a The Testament of Job is an apocryphal book of ancient Judaism that has been little studied throughout the history of academic research. Its content narrates an alternative story of Job, in which his confrontation with Satan stands out. Since it is a book written in the Hellenistic period, its apocalyptic characteristics attract attention, especially with regard to Satan, who is Job'spersonal enemy. In this essay, we will first briefly present the historical and literary information of the Testament of Job that is little known; then, we will highlight and discuss the passages that present Satan in order to understand how the work conceives of him; finally, we will highlight the characteristics of Cohen's monster theory in order to propose a monstrous portrait of Satan in the Testament of Job. | ||
