Description
Summary:Reading the text of Judges is an ambiguous experience for the reader; he admires the marvellous characters, but he is also glad that he is not part of the world of the text. One way of dealing with this ambiguity of reader response is to evaluate the cyclic plot structure of the book and the stereotyped presentation of characters who show little development or transformation. The paper will focus on the strategy of character depiction in plot and possible deductions from this kind of character presentation.
