Zusammenfassung:Psalm 21 deals with two relationships. The first is Yahweh's relationship with the king of Israel. The second is either Yahweh's or the king's relationship with his enemies. The aim of this article is to determine both the nature, as well as the implications of these relationships: (a) by descriptionbing the manner in which the different parts of the text are ordered; (b) by establishing the way in which each of these parts function within the whole of the text; and (c) by deducing from the results of these steps the theology of the psalm.
