Summary:The aim of this paper is to descriptionbe the theology of Jeremiah 10:1-16. The method employed to achieve this goal comprises the following three facets: a literary-critical analysis consisting of a delimitation, textual criticism, morphological, syntactical, stichometrical and stilistic analyses; deductions concerning the composition and the textual function of the pericope; and finally, conclusions, drawn from the results of these steps, about the theology of the pericope.
