This article provides an outline of Christian-Muslim peacemaking during the crusades to the East, as well as an introduction to how inter-religious diplomacy has been interpreted in crusades historiography. It then considers the broader implications of peacemaking for the study of the crusades and recommends potential areas for further research. | ||
