In view of far-reaching transformations in society, numerous voices are calling for a critical (self-)reflection: Can Sunday still be preserved? Would something be lost if the celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ were to cease – or could Sunday, particularly in its Eucharistic form, be consigned to the liturgical archive without significant loss? To address the meaning and theological significance of Sunday, selected writings by Romano Guardini will first be examined. Building on this foundation, further liturgical-theological perspectives are discussed, especially in view of vulnerability as a key concept for a theologically grounded interpretation of the present. | ||
| 520 | |a Angesichts lebhafter und teils kontroverser Debatten stellt sich zunehmend die Frage, ob das Festhalten an der gewohnten Praxis traditioneller (eucharistischer) Sonntagsgottesdienste am Vormittag noch zeitgemäß ist. In einer sich rasant wandelnden Gesellschaft fordern zahlreiche Stimmen zu einer kritischen (Selbst-)Reflexion heraus: Lässt sich der Sonntag noch retten? Würde dem Sonntag tatsächlich etwas fehlen, wenn die Feier von Tod und Auferstehung Jesu Christi entfiele – oder könnte man ihn, insbesondere in seiner liturgisch-eucharistischen Ausprägung, etwa doch bedenkenlos in der Asservatenkammer kirchlicher Praxis ablegen? Ausgewählte Schriften Romano Guardinis sollen zunächst einen Beitrag zur Klärung der Bedeutung und Relevanz des Sonntags leisten. Im Anschluss wird der Versuch unternommen, vertiefende liturgietheologische Perspektiven – insbesondere im Hinblick auf das Phänomen der Vulnerabilität – herauszuarbeiten. | ||
