| Riepilogo: | Analysis of the structure, argument and pragmatics of Galatians: An initial orientation Initially three methodological pitfalls regarding the analysis of the overall structure of Galatians are discussed: that of historical reconstruction of its polemical situation, of the rhetorical model and of the bipartite Pauline division between theological exposition and paraenesis. Then the macrostructural relations, the argument and the pragmatics of Galatians are analysed. Two main sections are identified, the first (Galatians 1:11-4:11) consisting of a double argument for the legitimacy of Paul's gospel, the second (4:12-6:10) being an appeal concentrating on Christian freedom. |
