O Sínodo sobre a sinodalidade expressa em grande medida este paradoxo. Embora o Sínodo deixe em aberto o que antes estava bloqueado, reproduz a dificuldade de mudanças estruturais na Igreja. Contudo, as sementes reformadoras lançadas por Francisco permanecerão como possibilidades de transformação da Igreja e da sociedade, pela pertinência evangélica e pela relevância perante as crises internas e externas à Igreja. | ||

It locates the purposes and reform projects within the scope of a Catholic regime that is itself resistant to change, as well as in a field of forces that places traditionalist conservatives and reformers in antagonistic positions. The Synod on synodality largely expresses this paradox. Although the Synod leaves open what was previously blocked, it reproduces the difficulty of structural changes in the Church.
