AB En el presente artículo aplicamos el método ver, juzgar, actuar; describimos, en pri- mer lugar, la realidad actual de la Amazonía como símbolo de vida, resistencia y esperanza; en segundo lugar, se realiza un análisis bíblico-teológico sobre la ley del jubileo de (Lv 25,1-58), haciendo énfasis en las disposiciones legales sobre el des- canso y la liberación de la tierra; en tercer lugar, se propone asumir un compromiso legal, ético y espiritual de los Estados parte con la Amazonía, desde la perspectiva del Jubileo. Enfatizamos la necesidad de integrar en los foros mundiales la propuesta de los pueblos originarios, en cuanto a la cosmovisión y el trato que le brindan a la tierra como un mecanismo de acción urgente y sostenible para la conservación de los ecosistemas. Asimismo, se retoma el deber de dar reposo y liberación a la tierra, motivado por la premisa teológica de que el Dios de Israel, es el creador y dueño de ella, y el ser humano es solamente un usufructuario de esta.
AB In this article we apply the method of seeing, judging, acting; we describe, first of all, the current reality of the Amazon as a symbol of life, resistance and hope; secondly, a biblical-theological analysis is made on the jubilee law (Lv 25,1-58), emphasizing the legal provisions on the rest and liberation of the land; thirdly, it is proposed that the States Parties assume a legal, ethical and spiritual commitment with the Amazon, from the perspective of the Jubilee. We emphasize the need to integrate the proposal of  the  indigenous  peoples  in  the  world  forums,  regarding  the  worldview  and  the  treatment  they  give  to  the  land  as  an  urgent  and  sustainable  mechanism  of  action  for the conservation of ecosystems. Likewise, the duty of giving rest and liberation to the land is taken up again, motivated by the theological premise that the God of Israel is the creator and owner of it, and the human being is only a usufructuary of it.
