Description
Résumé:Keepng an eye on Gratian's Concordia Discordantium Canonum this book attempts to contribute to the harmony among the different canonical disciplines: Oriental and Latin, Catholic and Orthodox. The first chapter presents the recent legislative projects for harmonizing CIC and CCEO. The second refers to the application of the norms of CCEO to Latin discipline by means of express but implicit indication. The third deals with the eparchial bishop's duty to govern his flock in harmony with the dicisions of the Synod of bishops of his own Church sui iuris. The forth explains the essential canonical aspects of the Petrine ministry as a guarantee of ecclesial unity. The fifth is on the recognition of the legislative competence of Orthodox authorities over their own faithful and its canonical implications in mixed marriages with Catholics. And the last chapter deals with the consequences of the recognition of Orthodox judical competence over their faithful in the Catholic canonical trials.
