Shikmona, situé dans la ville moderne de Haïfa, est un site essentiel pour comprendre la culture matérielle du sud de la Phénicie à différentes périodes. Ici, nous nous concentrons sur une présentation du matériel de la fin de l’âge du fer trouvé dans la zone A des nouvelles fouilles dans un rapport final. Les données présentées dans cette étude proviennent de l’une des séquences les mieux stratifiées du sud de la Phénicie à ce jour. Elles peuvent ainsi servir de base à de futures études sur la nature de cette région aux périodes concernées. Les questions de continuité jusqu’à la période babylonienne, bien qu’elles n’aient pu être résolues que par l’analyse stratigraphique, font également de Shikmona un site fructueux pour de futures études sur le sujet. | ||
| 520 | |a This paper presents the stratigraphic, architectural and ceramic findings from the renewed excavations at Tell es-Samak/Shikmona, which took place from 2011-2013. Shikmona, located in modern day Haifa, is an integral site for understanding the material culture of southern Phoenicia in various periods. Here, we focus on a presentation of the late Iron Age material found in Area A of the renewed excavations in a final report. The data presented in this study comes from one of the best-stratified sequences in southern Phoenicia to-date. It can thus serve as a backbone for future studies on the nature of this region in the relevant periods. Questions of continuity into the Babylonian period, although arrived only through stratigraphic analysis, also make Shikmona a fruitful site for future studies on the topic. | ||
