Description
Résumé:This article presents a new edition of the Greek text, with translation and commentary of the abridged version of the apocryphal "Acts of Thomas" in the ms. Pet. Φ 906 (Z1). This manuscript was already known and used by Bonnet in his critical edition of the Greek "Acts of Thomas". However, it is of major interest for a better understanding of the transmission of the text. The discovery of new Byzantine manuscripts containing different versions of the first two acts of Thomas and his martyrdom justifies the need of an isolated analysis of this text.
