Description
Résumé:How do UK Christian home educators feel about their role and function in wider Christian society? An online survey of Christian home educators (n = 462) was analysed thematically and examined through the lens of a theology of belonging. Findings revealed respondents feeling more positively viewed by the Christian community than they are by wider society. However, less than half felt supported by their local church or wider Christian community. Strong feelings of isolation and judgment conveyed UK Christian home educators feeling excluded and misunderstood. The local church and wider Christian community need to intentionally counter these experiences and improve inclusion.
