| Summary: | This article addresses the presence of religion and spirituality in the public sphere and in public deliberations. The classic theory of secularism has sustained the drop-down of religions and their reclusion in the private sphere. However, religions and spiritualities seem alive in the 21st century. It is possible that in our postsecular time, we could have a new understanding of secularism, one that could welcome, as a contribution, the presence of religions and spirituality in the public sphere. Este artículo aborda la presencia de las religiones y las espiritualidades en el espacio público y en las deliberaciones públicas. La postura clásica del secularismo ha afirmado el declive de las religiones y su reclusión en el espacio privado. Sin embargo, pareciera que en pleno siglo XXI las religiones y las espiritualidades siguen muy vigentes. Es posible que en nuestro tiempo de postsecularidad se pueda dar un nuevo entendimiento de la secularidad que pueda acoger, como un aporte, la presencia de las religiones y las espiritualidades en el espacio público. |
