Zusammenfassung:This article aims to investigate the transformation of Freedom of religion or belief in the specific context of religious refugee status. Moving from the international and European legal sources, the transformative trajectory of FoRB will be explained in several steps, to underline how ‘FoRB’ has progressively integrated the elements of ‘well-founded fear’ and ‘persecution’ within its scope and the effects of such transformative trajectory.
