| Summary: | El presente artículo estudia la figura del cardenal Augustin Bea destacando su empeño y contribución al giro ecuménico emprendido por el Concilio Vaticano II según las directrices del Papa Juan XXIII. De hecho, 1º comienza exponiendo la trayectoria intelectual y espiritual indicando los cargos que ostentó antes de ser cardenal. 2º) Se analiza su empeño ecuménico con el concilio en calidad de Presidente del Secretariado para la unidad de los cristianos subrayando su implicación en la redacción de varios documentos conciliares. 3º) Se exponen los elementos importantes par la unidad. 4º) Se analizan los obstáculos y las posibles soluciones al mismo. Y, finalmente 5º) se expone el legado intelectual y espiritual como fuente inspiradora para el ecumenismo de hoy. This article studies the life and mission of Cardinal Augustin Bea, highlighting his commitment and contribution to the ecumenical endeavor undertaken by the Second Vatican Council according to the guidelines of Pope John XIII. Thus, 1º) the article begins by presenting briefly his intellectual and spiritual itinerary Hihglighting the responsabilities he held and the challenges he faced before becoming a cardinal. 2º) It presente his ecumenical commintment during and after the Council as President of the Secretariat for Christian Unity, hihglighting his involvement in the elaboration of various conciliar documents. 3º) It expounds the important key elements for Christian unity. 4º) It analyses the obstacles and possible solutions that our cardinal consider for unity. Finally, 5º) it determines his intellectual and spiritual legacy as an inspiring source for ecumenism today. |
