If we know it was excavated by Achille Joyau in 1865, its exact finding spot is still under debate. Some previously-neglected documents do however give indications on the place and circumstances of its discovery. Résumé - La découverte de la grande Vénus de Baalbek est restée longtemps une énigme. S’il est établi qu’elle fut exhumée par Achille Joyau en 1865, l’endroit exact fait toujours débat. Des documents jusque-là négligés permettent cependant de préciser l’emplacement et les circonstances de sa mise au jour. فرضية حول موقع اكتشاف تمثال فينوس الكبير في بعلبك من قبل أشيل جويو في عام ١٨٦٥ظل اكتشاف ما يسمى بتمثال فينوس بعلبك الكبير لغزا لفترة طويلة. لئن ثبت أنه تم استخراجه من التراب من قبل أشيل جويو في عام ١٨٦٥ فإن الموقع الدقيق لا يزال قيد المناقشة. ومع ذلك فإن بعض المستندات التي تم إهمالها حتى الآن تسمح بتحديد الموقع وظروف اكتشافه. |
