Описание
Итог:Considering the many titles ascribed to Eckhart – philosopher, theologian, mystic – this paper argues that in his ‘Sermons and Lectures on Ecclesiastes’ we see that these are all aspects of the Meister which can, and should be, subsumed under the title of Dominican. Eckhart was living out the vision of Dominic, the founder of the Order, that vision of able men who, rooted in the contemplative discipline inherited from Augustine, could articulate the faith in intellectual terms. In his work on Ecclesiastes, he was passionately concerned that those for whom he was responsible should be people of deep faith and integrity as well as intellectually able.
