| Sumario: | Este artigo explora a relação entre a Sociedade Brasileira de Defesa da Tradição, Família e Propriedade (TFP) e a ditadura militar brasileira de 1964. A análise revela como o anticomunismo serviu de elo unificador entre a TFP e a ditadura, destacando o papel da organização na criação de um clima favorável ao golpe civil-militar e suas subsequentes atividades de suporte ao regime. O trabalho também discute a dinâmica ambivalente entre a TFP e o governo militar, caracterizada por momentos de colaboração e vigilância mútua, e a mudança do posicionamento da TFP após o fim do regime.
