| Summary: | O Evangelho segundo o Espiritismo, um dos cinco fundamentais livros espíritas publicados por Allan Kardec, tem papel central na afirmação do espiritismo como parte da religião cristã, algo que é feito também através do amplo trabalho assistencial gratuito realizado pelos espíritas no Brasil. Partindo de análise bibliográfica e pesquisa de campo, o artigo mostra que tal livro espírita compõe uma necessidade de reinterpretação bíblica. O artigo aborda a longa trajetória das interpretações bíblicas e a propagação do estudo do referido livro assim como das práticas religiosas disseminadas a partir dele no âmbito do espiritismo brasileiro, enquanto parte de sua afirmação cristã. The Gospel according to Spiritism, one of the five fundamental Spiritist books published by Allan Kardec, plays a central role in affirming Spiritism as part of the Christian religion, something that is also done through the extensive free welfare work carried out by Spiritists in Brazil. Based on bibliographical analysis and field research, the article shows that this Spiritist book is part of a need for biblical reinterpretation. The article looks at the long history of biblical interpretations and the spread of the study of this book, as well as the religious practices disseminated from it within Brazilian Spiritism, as part of its Christian affirmation. |
