| Summary: | Prendendo le mosse dal trentacinquesimo viaggio apostolico di Papa Francesco a cipro e in Grecia, il presente contributo si propone di soffermarsi sullo straordinario incontro tra cristianesimo primitivo ed ellenismo. Ponendosi come un pellegrinaggio, sia pur fugace, alle sorgenti della cristianità, lo studio si avvierà esaminando le categorie di ellenizzazione e de-ellenizzazione del cristianesimo, per poi mettere in evidenza l’intrecciarsi di giudaismo, ellenismo e giudaismo ellenistico in Paolo. Si concluderà con un’incursione sull’uti- lizzo dei concetti filosofici greci da parte dei Padri della Chiesa tra II e iV secolo allo scopo di rinvenire collegamenti con il magistero degli ultimi due romani Pontefici. Starting from the thirty-fifth apostolic journey of Pope Francis to Cyprus and Greece, this contribution aims to dwell on the extraordinary encounter between primitive Christianity and Hellenism. Placing itself as a pilgrimage, albeit fleeting, to the sources of Christianity, the study will begin by examining the categories of Hellenization and de-Hellenization of Christianity, to then highlight the intertwin- ing of Judaism, Hellenism and Hellenistic Judaism in Paul. It will end with a foray into the use of Greek philosophical concepts by theFathers of the church between the 2nd and 4th centuries in order to find links with the magisterium of the last two roman Popes. |
