C’est ce contexte particulier qui a rendu possible la convergence entre spiritualité et écologie. Une rencontre de circonstance que l’on a pu documenter à partir de cinq années de terrain. Au-delà du besoin de notre société d’entrer dans un processus de catharsis sociale, on a relevé un voisinage sociologique entre deux milieux, écologique et spirituel. Ces deux milieux proches peuvent mutuellement s’influencer pour produire un langage commun de mobilisation face à la crise climatique. | ||
| 520 | |a This contribution offers a broad sociological outline of the climate crisis based on the theories of the German sociologist Ulrich Beck. To escape this calamity, we must translate a systemic problem into audible language: ecological action must be given meaning. This is the particular context that made possible the convergence of spirituality and ecology; it was a chance meeting that we were able to document through five years of fieldwork. Over and above our society’s need to enter into a process of social catharsis, we have identified a sociological proximity between two close circles, ecological and spiritual, which can mutually influence each other to produce a common language of mobilisation in the face of the climate crisis. | ||
