| Summary: | This paper explains the steps followed in the formation of popular religiosity and its manifestations in the city of Murcia since its incorporation into the Crown of Castilla between 1243 and 1266 and the end of the Middle Ages, from the documentary references of the council records and cathedral archive. It explains how this process was developed following these steps: foundation and endowment of the Cartagena`s Diocese and its fundamental milestones; seat of religious orders, foundation of parishes and subsequent development of a primitive devotional fabric; first manifestations of popular fervor in the form of liturgical and parish processions; foundation of brotherhoods to articulate these manifestations; and, final foundation of labor and guilder brotherhoods. Each and every step was encouraged and promoted frequently by the authorities. Este trabajo plantea los pasos seguidos en la conformación de la religiosidad popular y sus manifestaciones en la ciudad de Murcia desde su incorporación a la Corona de Castilla entre 1243 y 1266 y el final de la Edad Media, a partir de las referencias documentales de las actas concejiles y archivo catedralicio. Se explica como ese proceso se desarrolló siguiendo los siguientes pasos: fundación y dotación de la diócesis de Cartagena y sus hitos fundamentales; asiento de órdenes religiosas, fundación de parroquias y subsiguiente desarrollo de un primigenio tejido devocional; primeras manifestaciones de fervor popular en forma de procesiones litúrgicas y parroquiales; fundación de cofradías para articular esas manifestaciones; y, fundación final de cofradías laborales y gremiales. Todos y cada uno de los pasos fueron estimulados y, frecuentemente, promovidos por las autoridades. |
