| Summary: | En este artículo analizamos Filipenses 4:4-7 para hablar de crisis personales y so- ciales que vivieron los creyentes en Filipos como parte del Imperio romano, y para descubrir que se puede experimentar el gozo a pesar de los problemas y angustias vividos en nuestro contexto actual. El apóstol Pablo pide que se viva en el gozo de Jesús confiando en Él, sin angustia ni preocupaciones, al saber que Dios está en con- trol de todo y que lo que suceda está en sus manos y no en las del Imperio. De esta manera, se puede experimentar la paz de Dios, el shalom, si hay una vida de oración que trae como resultado el actuar de manera solidaria, compartiendo con amor y mi- sericordia, como alternativa al egoísmo y violencia que ofrecía el Imperio. Es posible celebrar en medio de las crisis mostrando que hay esperanza en la solidaridad de la vida en comunidad. In this article we analyze Philippians 4: 4-7 to talk about the crises, personal andsocial, that as part of the Roman Empire, the believers in Philippi lived, and to dis-cover that one can experience joy despite the problems and anxieties that we live nowadays. The Apostle Paul asks to live in the joy of Jesus, trusting in Him, without anguish or worries, knowing that God is in control of everything, and that whatever happens is in His hands and not in those of the Empire. In that way, it is possible to experience God’s peace, shalom, if there is a life of prayer that results in acting soli-darity, sharing with love and mercy, as an alternative to the selfishness and violence offered by the Empire.It is possible to celebrate amid crisis, showing that there is hope in the solidarity of community life. |
