Western history, recognizing war as a sacred value, has made man obedient to hostility. The sacred, akin to conflict, thus shows to contain a festive and war surplus. The "sacred war", in this way, transforms tragedy into an aggressive national cult, which confirms man as paradoxical: the most terrible thing. |
