| Summary: | La presente trattazione intende elaborare una sintesi circa i restauri operati nell'ultimo quarto del XIX secolo nella basilica parrocchiale romana dei SS. XII Apostoli e relativa costruzione della cripta sotto il presbiterio, dove si trovano le reliquie dei ss. Apostoli Filippo e Giacomo il Minore, insieme al altre reliquie di santi nel "pozzetto dei martiri", attraverso la documentazione archivistica disponibile che tratta dell'argomento, presente soprattutto nell'archivio generale dell'Ordine dei Frati Minori Conventuali, al convento dei SS. XII Apostoli in Roma. This dissertation is meant to offer a summary of the restoration work carried out in the last quarter of the 19th century at the Basilica of the Twelve Holy Apostles in Rome, as well as the related construction of the crypt under its presbytery, where the relics of the saints are located, namely, the Apostles Philip and James the Lesser, along with other relics of saints in the "well of the martyrs". The summary is based upon the available archival documentation dealing with the subject, found mainly in the general archives of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual, at the Friary of the Twelve Holy Apostles in Rome. |
