| Résumé: | A tireless seeker of truth, Edith Stein will not give up her efforts throughout her life. Until she reaches the goal, various stages will mark the journey, in which Teresa of Jesus and John of the Cross will be fundamental references. With the guidance of the Spanish mystics, Edith embraces Catholicism and enters Carmel, making God the center of her life. However, the more centered on God she is, the more aware she becomes of what is happening around her. According to her, praying for those in the world outside her religious community is a holy service, and the surrender of one’s will is the condition for mystical union. Buscadora incansable de la verdad, Edith Stein no cejará en su empeño a lo largo de su vida. Hasta llegar a la meta, diversas etapas irán jalonando su recorrido, en el que Teresa de Jesús y Juan de la Cruz serán referentes fundamentales. De la mano de los místicos españoles abraza el catolicismo e ingresa en el Carmelo, haciendo que Dios sea el centro de su vida. Ahora bien, cuanto más centrada en Dios está, tanto más pendiente vive de lo que sucede a su alrededor. Según ella, rezar por los que están fuera es un servicio santo y la entrega de nuestra voluntad es la condición para la unión mística. |
