These are further connected to the four main ways in which the confirmation leaders frame the films in their teaching activities, focusing on how they seek to interpret the films in a religious context. This article highlights the fact that different keying approaches result in different responses. Films play a dynamic role, shaping the framing of confirmation teaching and, conversely, being framed by the method and context of their use. Drawing on the mediatization of religion, we argue that the utilisation of film impacts the topics addressed and the way they are presented and negotiated within confirmation teaching.
