Pierre Claslres considère la réciprocité négative (échange de coups, de rapts, de vengeances, etc.) comme un facteur de maintien de l'ordre social primitif ; tandis que René Girard tente de montrer que la réciprocité, positive aussi bien que négative, est un facteur de désorganisation sociale. Un examen critique de ces diverses approches vise à démontrer l'impossibilité d'établir un lien entre réciprocité positive et cohésion sociale d'une part, réciprocité négative et désorganisation sociale de l'autre. The different forms of positive reciprocity (exchange of gifts, courtesies, etc.) are generally considered, in the classical viewpoint of Mauss and Lévi-Strauss, as social cohesion mechanisms. This approach has been contested lately. Pierre Clastres considers the negative reciprocity (exchange of blows, rapts, vengeances, etc.) as a factor of preservation of the primitive social order; while René Girard tries to demonstrate that reciprocity, positive as well as negative, is a factor of social disorganisation. A critical examination of these different viewpoints aims at the demonstration of the impossibility to establish a link between positive reciprocity and social cohesion and negative reciprocity and social disorganisation. | ||
