Item Description:Erected 1739. During the bombardment of Norfolk by Lord Dunmore's British Fleet, January 1, 1776, a cannon ball was lodged in the side of the wall where it can still be seen amid the ivy which covers the walls. Many quaint tombstones are to be seen in the churchyard and interesting relics in the Parish House - such as the John Hancock Arm Chair, used at the signing of the "Declaration" of 1776; Merrimac armor, etc
