Item Description:200 Highland Avenue. The church was organized March 29, 1871 with 17 members. First house of worship was a wooden structure built in 1876 on High Street. It was replaced by a brick structure on Ellis Avenue in 1914. The church's third structure, pictured on this card, was built on a reclaimed, swampy area which had a solid rock foundation .It was occupied Aug. 25, 1957. Church membership no exceeds 2,000
