| Item Description: | This from the sanctuary of the Oldest Church shows the balcony which is held up by beautiful carved beams dating back to 1710. The large beam bears the inscription: "El Senor Marquez de la Penuela. Hizo esta fabrica es Alferes Real Don Augustin Flores Vergara su criado Ano de 1710". The meaning is as follows: "The Marquis de la Penuela. This structure is the work of the Royal Ensign Augustin Flores Vergara his servant in 1710." |
