Description
Item Description:Still standing, pathetically waiting for its day in history, is the fireplace of the the Moses Merrill Baptist Mission. The Rev. Merrill was the first Baptist missionary to the territory west of the Missouri in the 1830's and worked with the Otto and Pawnee Indians. The chimey structure stands on a high spot north of the Platte River in eastern Sarpy County near Bellevue
