Item Description:Begun 1772 and completed in 1776. Old Saints Barnabas' Episcopal Church, Leeland, Maryland. The first building on the present site was a Chapel of Ease of Saint Paul's Parish (1692). In 1704 the new parish of Queen Anne's was created, of which this is the parish church, and in 1708, by subscriptions of both money and tobacco, the first church building was built, the furnishings of which were brought from England. The present structure was begin in 1772 and completed in 1776
