Description
Item Description:The First Congregational Church on Pleasant Street near Main Street was built in 1896 and 1897 at a cost of about $100,000 exclusive of land. It was dedicated in December 1897 and replaced what for many years was a land mark and known as "The Brown Church", which was burned in January 1894. The Church Society was organized in 1740. The Rev. Allan Hudson was installed as Pastor in December 1897
