Item Description:was built in 1729. During the Revolution it was a forum of protest for the townspeople against British acts of oppression. It is still used as a public meeting hall for expression and discussion of the democratic ideas of a free people. A museum of early Americana and open daily except Sundays, it is at Washington and Milk Streets
