NO Built in 1729. Under the provisional government of Sir Edmund Andres. The colonists of New England were often affronted by his acts. The greatest affront to them was made by Baal Priest, Rev. Ratcliff, by demanding the use of their churches until their own was built. The Boston ministers declined it, but were finally terrified by the Governor, and so the use of the Old South Church was granted for Good Friday only. Once in, the new sect refused to give it up
