Item Description:Located on Salem Street, foot of Hill Street. The signal lanterns of Paul Revere displayed in the steeple of this church in April 8, 1775, warned the Country of the march of the British troops to Lexington and Concord. This is the most ancient church in Boston. Erected 1723. Organ imported from England 1759 and the chime bells 1774, the first to be used in America
