NO The Log Chapel is one of the most visited places on the Campus and many Notre Dame Alumni are married in the hallowed chapel. The present chapel is a replica of the original built in 1820 by the Rev. Stephen Badin, first Catholic Priest ordained in the United States, before Notre Dame was founded in 1842. Father Badin's remains lie beneath the present Log Chapel
