Description
Item Description:A vista of unusual beauty at night - the Catholic Cathedral of St. Augustine, the oldest Cathedral in the United States. Built in the Moorish-Spanish type of architecture, it was dedicated December 8th, 1797. Partially destroyed by fire in 1887, it was quickly rebuilt, the transepts being added at the same time. The original bells still hang in the facade, one bearing the date 1682. The Campanile was built in 1888
